Hello lost souls! Currently at school waiting for class to start. I showed up an hour early (ouch), but I don’t mind because I get to claim the comfiest couch in the student union muahaha. Hope you’re all doing well! So a few things I’m going to talk about in this useless blog post that pertains to my life!
One: I’m turning twenty soon! On June 8th to be exact. Yikes. I mean, I guess it’s exciting. I’m just nervous that I won’t be a teenager anymore (am I the only one that feels this way or is everyone else just excited to be a year away from being legal????). And I know, I’ve heard it before, “the twenties are going to be the best years of your life!” I’m sure they’ll be exciting, don’t get me wrong. I just feel like I’m losing my youth. God I’m turning SO OLD (calm down, just pitching some sarcasm). I know, I know. How silly of me to be thinking about how “old” I’m getting. Well, on the bright side, I’m planning on doing something with my girlfriend in Seattle or Ballard, but my real goal is to go to Portland and explore downtown. Maybe even spot some hipsters in their natural habitat *wink*. Though I’ve been craving some good darn french macaroons. Maybe I’ll just spend my whole birthday at Le Panier and eat all their macaroons I donno. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ LOL, alright. NEXT!
Two: Spring quarter is almost done! Then it’ll be Summer! I was planning on enrolling in a summer class, but I had forgotten I was invited by my younger cousin to attend this camp. The camps theme is to bring your favorite adult, which made my heart melt when she invited me fyi. So yeah, I couldn’t bear to disappoint her. The class I was planning on taking was an English class. The duration of the course is six weeks, four days (a week), and three hours long. I have no problem putting it off this summer because now I can focus more on my internship, and work a few extra hours to save some money (probably the better option). It’ll also give me a chance to regrow the hair that has fallen ’cause of how much stress I’ve been going through with school, work, and life in general. Haha, too much?
Three: My internship! I intern at the Pacific Science Center now which is pretty awesome! For those of you who don’t know where or what PSC is, it’s a science center located in Seattle, WA. It was designed by Minoru Yamasaki in 1962 for the World Fair! So much goes on around there. People of all ages learning about science, and the history of science. It’s an amazing place! I love how energetic everyone is, and the greatest benefit from the job is that I get to learn so much! Since I’m planning going into a career in the STEM field, this is perfect for gaining that experience. So yas. If you ever find yourself walking the streets of downtown Seattle, stop by the PSC!
Four: Pride marches! The next pride march coming up is taking place at Capitol Hill on June 11th! As you may or may not know, I’m gay. I’m in an amazing relationship with my girlfriend, Victoria. We’re actually planning on attending the pride march together. Hopefully meet some new people also! So, if you happen to be in the Seattle area that day you should definitely go and support the LGBTQ community!
I hope you’re excited for Summer just as much as I am! What are your plans? Taking any Summer courses? Going on out of town? Any fun camps? Attending any marches for important causes? Let me know! 🙂 Until next time!
