Hello lost souls! I hope you all are doing great. I apologize for the silence. I just started my first full time quarter of college! Yay! It’s been a bit stressful I’m not going to lie. I have two math classes, STEM and a French class that I am balancing on my shoulders at the moment. For those of you who don’t know what STEM is, it means Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics. Its a program for students who plan on pursuing a career in any of those fields.
My original plan was to major in Astronautics and Aeronautics Engineering. I dream to go out into the STARS…. Though, in case you don’t already know, it’s a VERY competitive major. It focuses on math, math, math and more MATH. I mean I’m talking about Calculus to the BRIM. Oh and on top of that, there’s also chemistry, physics, engineering packed in there also. Still with me? I mean you have to admit that it all sounds so exciting. But God, I just wish my little brain was able to comprehend it all.
So yes, I’ve started my journey into the mathematical, scientific, unknown abyss and so far? I’m dying. I’m able to keep up but it seems like there is not a day that goes by where I don’t get discouraged. So guess what I plan on doing? study, study, study. I basically have NO LIFE for the next 4 – 6 years. I know the outcome would be worth it in the end.
So yes, first quarter of college. Wasn’t at all what I was expecting. Met some really interesting people so far and my French teacher is outgoing. I do homework on an average of 5 to 8 hours a day on top of working a part time job. So yes, I am exhausted. But that’s the “college lifestyle” right?
How’s everyone else doing? Does school have you in a whirlwind of emotions? It’d be really nice to know! I’ll be doing my best to update from time to time when my schedule allows it. Until then, I hope you have a great day/night!
